La Familia Pop-Up Vaccination Site

Quick Overview: Health professional licensees and students have the opportunity to volunteer to vaccinate people living in California with a particular emphasis on hard-to-reach communities of color. To that end, La Familia Counseling Center and HealthImpact are partnering with the Sacramento Native American Health Center and the Sacramento Department of Public Health to go to a farm and food processing plant in Isleton near Walnut Grove. Food and agricultural workers interested in a vaccination will be vaccinated with the Janssen vaccine. This effort is particularly meaningful as it honors Cesar Chavez, a civil rights and labor movement activist near his birthday, March 31st.
